I frequently use LED strips for lighting – usually with 5V, 12V, or 24V DC. However, if you don't want a separate power supply, you can also use models that run directly from the wall outlet, i.e., with 230V AC. One such strip fell on my table, so let's take a look at how these strips are constructed, how they work, and what advantages and disadvantages they have.
