Manchester Smagam 2023 - One of the best smagams I've ever been to, our Anand Karaj obviously being the best one!
Guru Ji's Kirpa 🙏, this year we had:
5 cameras
personalised and editable mix from Yamaha TF3 for recording + broadcast
mics rigged into the ceiling to pick up sangat
3 Zoom recorders, 1 for atmosphere, another for recording, another for broadcast
Fibre internet (eventually) for 1440p broadcast with shabad overlays to 4 channels using restream
local 4k programme recording + ouputs to projector/tv screen in langar hall and for recording for another channel
Wireless transmitter/receivers for remote shooting without hdmi cables
After some issues with internet and not getting a proper sound check prior to the smagam, it was a huge success considering the new untested kit (including a subwoofer!) that went in and the Kirtan was just absolutely mind blowing 🔥
