The Teensyduino is a pic micro-processor with a screaming fast clock speed of 600MHz, but in order to take advance of this super fast speed, we need to do things efficiently! It turns out that the analog read is a very slow process, and there are actually Arduino libraries with much quicker analog read functions! In this tutorial, I show how to make a completely digital oscillator, that can be tuned in real time, with a potentiometer, through an analog read on one of the pins of this device.. This oscillator has a blazing fast max speed of 568kHz! This is fast enough for some Tesla coil application!
