This lesson covers calculating the strength of a reinforced concrete column using LIRA SAPR.

To solve this problem, you must enter the following initial data:
1. Create a calculation model
2. Assign the following characteristics to the bar element: reinforcement modulus "bar," reinforcement type "symmetrical," center of gravity of the reinforcement to the section faces, and design features "row column" (this is how LIRA SAPR determines the load class for which the element should be calculated).
3. Specify the concrete and reinforcement classes, remembering to enter correction factors for the ultimate strength of the concrete.

LIRA SAPR generates calculation results as the selected bar area.

You can also design your own cross-section with bar arrangement and test it for the applied loads in the LARM-SAPR processor.
