Crawled vs Discovered — not indexed (the difference costs people months)
Two lines in Google Search Console sit in the same report and mean opposite things.
"Crawled - currently not indexed" means Google fetched your page, read it, and decided not to index it. That is a judgement about the page, and you can fix it.
"Discovered - currently not indexed" means Google has never fetched the page. Not once. It found the URL, queued it, and decided your site was not worth the request. That is not about the page at all.
Which matters, because if your pages say Discovered, rewriting them cannot help. Google will not come back to read the improvement.
