In this video, we'll compare two methods for diagnosing car batteries: a load fork versus a multimeter. Many car owners mistakenly believe that measuring the voltage with a multimeter is enough to check the battery's condition. However, this method only assesses the surface charge, not the actual battery condition.

Testing a battery with a load fork is fundamentally different from a standard measurement. A multimeter may show a normal battery voltage of 12.7 volts at idle, which matches the technical specifications. However, under real load, such as when cranking the starter, the reading can change dramatically.

A load fork creates this simulated load, allowing you to assess whether the battery is capable of delivering current under load or has already lost its capacity. The video clearly demonstrates how to diagnose a car battery using both devices and demonstrates why a load fork is an indispensable tool for battery diagnostics.
