Not every path leads to peace
Recently, I got to spend time with a close friend I only see once or twice a year. Every time he visits, he asks me, “What’s new?” and for the last five years, my answer’s always been the same: not much—just work. But this time was different. We ended up having one of those rare, honest conversations about life, careers, and what it means to really feel fulfilled. We talked about how we both followed the path we were told would make us successful—school, degrees, corporate jobs—and how we both ended up feeling lost anyway. It was comforting to realize we weren’t alone in that, and I hope this video makes you feel a little less alone. I’m trying to let go of timelines, be patient with myself, and choose peace over pressure. Just remember to learn from yesterday, enjoy your gift of today, and look forward to tomorrow-at least that’s what I am trying to do.
