Why you need to stop and rest
I just got over being sick for two weeks... and yeah, it was entirely my fault. I ignored every warning sign and overworked myself because I thought I could push through it. The "grind now rest later" mentality will only burn you out, even if you are determined and persevere like me, sooner or later everything will start to catch up to you. I learned a brutal lesson over the last two weeks as I recovered: rest isn't lazy, it's brave. If you're like me, and feel guilty for slowing down and having time to yourself, or think you can't afford to take a break, I encourage you to listen to this. Don't let it get to a point where your body crashes before you actively choose to rest and take care of yourself.
