This video takes a look at who holds the camera, and what this tells us about access to the creation and preservation of film. The sources focus on home video equipment, and through the combination of advertisements for home video cameras, and footage created with home video technology and news footage, we as a result are faced with an unrepresentative archive, throughout which runs a capitalist presence which seems to constrain who can add to this archive, and highlights the issues in attempting to create a counter-archival video project.
