PIECEWISE CONTINUOUS FUNCTIONS
Let a function f be continuous at all points of a bounded open interval (a,b) except possibly for a finite set of points x1, x2, ..., xn-1, Due to which Pieces are formed (n-sub intervals), then f is continuous on each of the n open subintervals has finite limits as x approaches the endpoints from the interior, f is said to be piecewise continuous on the interval (a,b).
