In this video I have recorded a Microsoft Flight Simulator Benchmark for you in all graphics presets, as well as all relevant resolutions in Full HD, WQHD and 4K with the GeForce RTX 3070.

Please note that these scenes were recorded with Nvidia Shadowplay and therefore the real FPS value for each test is between 3 - 6 FPS more than what you see now. I also chose a very densely populated area like New York, and on top of that, I used an airliner for the test. This should mean that you can assume minimum values with the test results.

That means you'll have a lot more FPS if you're flying in a less populated area. You also get more FPS if you take a lightweight aircraft instead of an airliner.

I do not recommend making the textures to Ultra with GeForce RTX 3070, as the VRAM capacity may not be enough. If you take small planes and fly over small or medium-sized cities, you can even reach 45-55 fps with some Ultra settings.

The following are my recommended settings over small or medium-sized cities with airplanes like Cessna 172 Skyhawk or beechcraft King Air 350i.

Display Mode: Full Screen
Full Screen Resolution: 3840x2160
HDR10: ON|OFF
Global Rendering Quality: Custom
V-Sync: OFF
Render Scaling: 100
Anti-Aliasing: TAA
Terrain Level of Detail: Ultra|High
Terrain Vector Data: Ultra|High

Light Shafts: High
Bloom: ON
Depth of Field: OFF
Motion Blur: OFF

Lens Flare: ON
Glass Cockput Refresh Rate: Medium

In areas in which I have recommended two points, it depends on the situation where you fly or personal preferences.

Very important here, I made the recordings with these PC specs:

Operating System : Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit
GPU: GigaByte GeForce RTX 3070 Gaming OC
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7Ghz [Single-Core Boost 4.2 Ghz]
RAM: G.SKILL RipJaws V Black 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR4-3200 CL16
MAINBOARD: Prime X470-Pro
NVMe SSD for Windows: Samsung SSD 970 EVO 500GB
SSD for MSFS: SanDisk SDSSDH3 2T00 2TB
DirectX-Version: DirectX 12
GeForce Game Ready Driver: 461.09
Nvidia Control Panel Settings:    • BEST NVIDIA Control Panel Settings | ...

I hope I was able to help some with this extensive benchmark. If someone has a better MSFS experience as a result, then the effort has been worth it for me!
