I converted a Mad Catz Tournament Edition 1 fight stick into a “buttonbox” layout arcade controller inspired by the increasingly popular Hitbox brand controller! All parts used are listed here:

I never got into arcade style controllers like fight sticks because I was easily frustrated at missed inputs and I thought gamepad controllers were much more comfortable.
However now that I’ve been introduced to the buttonbox layout I’m happy to say that I’m converted 😁
Converting the layout wasn’t as easy as I thought though, so I ended up searching online for advice and I couldn’t find anything very specific for this conversion- so I decided I should do my part and try to fill in that knowledge gap on the internet by making this YouTube video.
If you have any questions about how to perform a conversion like this, please let me know in the comments and I’ll do my best to help. 🤓
Thanks for watching. ✌️
