Resource Forge
GOOD NEWS! You can use the add-on Resource Forge (class resource bar) for all classes to have the same layout as the MiniCompactRune (Deathknight Runebar). The developer was able to update the UI to support a 2x2 grid. If you like the action bar layout, I would highly suggest trying this add-on out.
