Hi! In today's tutorial I'll go over how to create a satisfying spawn animation for your collectibles in Game Maker Studio 2.3 , and along the way I'll give you an intro on using animation curves in your games (as well as a run down of all the curve library features in the upcoming Game Maker Studio 2.3.2.
This also marks the beginning of series where I show you the many applications of animation curves. In each of these videos, I'll also go over a corresponding animation principle. Today's animation principle is "Straight Ahead" vs "Pose to Pose". In "Straight Ahead" you continuously add key points to the animation left to right. For "Pose to Pose" you start with keys at the beginning and end, then do more passes to fill in keys in between. We'll usually favor "Pose to Pose"
