How to Import SRT Subtitle Files into DaVinci Resolve 18/19
Learn how to use .srt captions directly—without upgrading to Studio:
✅ Fast Import Steps:
• File → Import → Subtitle → choose your .srt file
• Right-click → Insert Selected Subtitles to Timeline Using Timecode
• Fix offsets if your first subtitle starts early or late
• Use the Inspector's Track panel to style the entire caption track
📀 Export Options: Locked in your timeline? Go to Deliver page → Subtitle Settings → choose Burn‑in, Separate File, or Embedded output formats
.
📌 Pro Tips:
• Ensure .srt starts at 0:00 (YouTube auto‑transcripts often start at 1:00)
• Make sure timeline FPS matches the caption timings to avoid drift
