👇CHAPTERS & LINKS BELOW👇 Hi Friends 👋 Today I bring you a new type of video. A beginner guide to CC in Sims 4, i.e. How to install mods and CC for Sims 4. If you're a new Sims 4 player since the base game is now free or if you just want to use CC and mods in your game but don't really know where to start or what to do (and maybe learn best by seeing things rather than reading) then this video is for you 🤗
Before I dive into more of the description though, here are the Chapters for if you just want one topic in particular or need to reference it again later:
Intro: 00:00
Where to find CC and Mods: 01:43
How to enable Mods & CC in your game: 11:15
How to Install Mods & CC into your game: 12:44
Extracting Mods from .rar files: 15:36
Organizing the Mods Folder: 17:24
Batch Fixing with Sims4Studio: 20:04
Identifying & Finding Broken CC: 22:07
Clearing Cache: 22:45
Note that each chapter also has several tips & tricks and also warnings for some things to help keep yourself and your computer/info safe 🤗
Modding Sims 4 was incredibly intimidating to me when I first started diving into it. I don't consider myself very tech savvy and don't always learn everything the easiest when it comes to reading, I often need to SEE it. And yet everything I came across said "it's easy, just add it to your mods folder"... and so I did. Including things that shouldn't have gone in there (I see you, rar files 🙄). There's more to how to use mods in Sims 4 than just "adding it to your mods folder" so I wanted to make a video compiling as many of the things I learned the hard & long way to hopefully help new or new to mods & cc simmers avoid the same mistakes 💙
If you found me through this video & haven't seen any of my content before, a quick note about my channel: 💀 I am not suitable for young simmers as I have the tongue of a sailor and I don't bleep out my curse words or f-bombs after the first 30 seconds. This tutorial is mild though with only I think 1 cuss word & it's not the f-bomb.
This beginner's guide to CC in Sims 4 covers a lot of bases and while I am no expert I consider myself a "low-key" or "basic" Simmer when it comes to mods & CC so my knowledge should be helpful for beginner Sims 4 CC & mod players. I hope I helped you, please be sure to take notes, I made sure to put important notes up on the screen in addition to saying them so you know it's something to remember/write down. And be sure to check out Twisted Mexi's video about why it's important to organize your mod folder: • Mod Organization: Avoid these pitfalls!
