Cutting an object out of a photo using Photoshop CS5
Author and trainer Kelly McCathran demonstrates a technique in the following movie, which is excerpted from our title Learn Adobe Photoshop CS5 by Video. Here she feathers the edge of a two-toed sloth, selects that portion of the image, and then pops that selection into another shot, on its own layer.
