About Sedat Laçiner: Born in Keskin in 1972. He completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Yenimahalle, Ankara. Laçiner earned his undergraduate degree in International Relations from Ankara University's Faculty of Political Sciences. He received his master's degree on a scholarship from Sheffield University (England). He graduated from Sheffield with honors and received his doctorate, also on a scholarship, from King's College London. Laçiner has taught at universities such as Başkent, Bilkent, and Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ), and is the sixth rector of ÇOMÜ. Prof. Dr. Laçiner has held various academic positions in higher education, including rector, dean, department head, and center director. He has also served as a board member, reviewer, and editor for numerous academic journals.

Sedat Laçiner also served as a consultant for the Ministry of Interior and the Council of Higher Education for a period. Sedat Laçiner, author of numerous works in Turkish and English on International Relations, has worked in various positions within the media. He began his journalism career as a reporter at Milliyet newspaper, where he authored many news stories and series. Throughout the 2000s, he served as a commentator and producer for TRT (Turkish Radio and Television Corporation). From 2010 to 2015, he was a columnist for Star newspaper, and also contributed to various online newspapers such as İnternethaber and Haberdar. Laçiner's views and commentary have appeared in international publications such as Modern Diplomacy, BBC, and the New York Times.

Beyond his academic and journalistic work, Prof. Dr. Sedat Laçiner has also held positions in the think tank sector. Laçiner worked as a senior researcher at the Armenian Studies Center from 2001-2003, and during the same period, he served as a researcher and Head of the Middle East Desk at the Eurasian Strategic Studies Institute (ASAM)... In 2003, Laçiner became a member of the Higher Education Council (YÖK), the National Committee on Turkish-Armenian Relations (TEİMK), and was appointed director of the Strategic Studies Center at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University... From 2004 to 2011, Laçiner served as the president of the Ankara-based International Strategic Studies Institute (USAK), of which he was the founding president, and also as the director of USAK's Middle East Studies Center during the same period.
