AWS Database Migration Service (AWS DMS) is a web service you can use to migrate data from your database that is on-premises, on an Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) DB instance, or in a database on an Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instance to a database on an AWS service.
In this video we will demonstrate AWS DMS by Migrating MySQL database running in an EC2 instance to Amazon Aurora MySQL database (RDS).
Prerequisites
AWS account with appropriate permissions
Basic knowledge of AWS services
Steps:
Create MSQL database in an EC2 instances
Create Amazon Aurora cluster
Create DMS Replication Instance
Setup Source and Target endpoints for DMS
Configure and Run Database Migration Task
Perform Post Migration Tests
