In this series Chris Gruchacz uses the phrase "Cats in Space" to generate a bass line quickly. He uses AudioCipher to generate a row of notes based on the word. Then he chops off the upper half of the notes, which simplifies the remaining MIDI. A rhythm emerges from this process and he pitches the notes down to a bass register. Once he finds something he likes, the MIDI is dragged onto a bass synth and with a little percussion, he's got an EDM bass line. Easy as that!
