We often like to call our AWR radio towers our “steel preachers,” because they beam God’s Word around the world—24 hours a day, seven days a week! They’re scattered in different countries, standing like faithful sentinels, giving witness to the world that Jesus is coming soon.
Here is a short video of our AWR shortwave radio towers on the island of Guam. Maintaining these towers takes planning, as even a sudden thunderstorm could trigger lightning strikes and imperil the lives of our engineers. More than once, fierce typhoons have threatened the island, but God has miraculously preserved His towers, diverting the storms.
As you watch the video, take a moment to reflect on the power of God’s Word through radio waves. These faithful “steel preachers” beam God’s Word thousands of miles to countries where the preaching of the gospel is forbidden. They reach millions of people individually in their homes, penetrating borders, walls and all limits, proclaiming tirelessly that Jesus is coming soon!
