It sounds simple, but I couldn't figure out how to delete effects from clips in Final Cut Pro X. I was looking for a delete button and couldn't find one. Instead I would resort to disabling the effects…annoying.
Well, I found the solution and wanted to share!
To delete an effect on a clip, you need to select the effect in the video inspector. If you click on the bar that has the name of the effect, you should see that the entire effect is selected. From there, just push the backspace button, and the effect is deleted!
It's simple, but with the user interface of Final Cut Pro, I naturally thought there would be a delete button somewhere.
