Hey guys, welcome back to NEXTGENBLOGGER and in this video, I want to show you how to make a typewriter effect in Premiere Pro. Now to start off, I've already opened up Premiere Pro and first we will write some text on top of the screen. So to do that, select the Type Tool which is present right here.
Next make a single click on top of the screen like this. Next let's write some text. So let's say, let me write the word 'TYPEWRITER'.
Next I want to center align this text. So to do that, go to the 'Window' menu and select 'Properties'. Now if you scroll down below, right at the bottom, you're going to find the Align option and right here you need to select this option that is 'Align Center Horizontally' and then select this option that is 'Align Center Vertically'.
Next let's zoom in the timeline a little bit like this. Next what you need to do is you need to add the Crop effect. So to do that, go to the 'Window' menu and now select 'Effects'.
Now search for the Crop effect and once you see the Crop effect, simply drag and drop this effect on top of the text like this. Next go to the 'Window' menu once again and this time select 'Effect Controls'. Now look inside 'Effect Controls' and right here you need to click on this 'Crop' option.
Now the moment you click on the 'Crop' option, you will see the crop selection right here. So what you need to do is you need to move this crop selection from the right hand side towards the left hand side like this. Next you need to click on the 'Toggle animation' icon which is present on the left hand side of the right option and now you need to click on the 'Crop' option once again.
Next what you need to do is you need to move the cursor in the timeline on the right hand side by one frame. Now move the crop selection on the right hand side like this. So that the letter T is visible.
Now move the cursor in the timeline on the right hand side by one frame once again. Now move the crop selection on the right hand side like this. So that letter Y is visible.
Now move the cursor in the timeline on the right hand side by one frame once again. Now move the crop selection on the right hand side like this. So that letter P is visible.
And so now if I play the video for you right from the start, perfect. Now what you need to do next is you need to right click on top of your text and now you need to select this option that is 'Nest'. Now click on the 'OK' button.
Next, you need to right click on top of your Nested Sequence and now you need to select this option that is 'Speed/Duration'. Now decrease the 'Speed' from 100% to 20% and now click on the 'OK' button. And so now if I play the video for you right from the start.
So this is how you can make a typewriter effect in Premiere Pro. Now, if you want, you can also add some sound effect. So what I've done is I've already imported a sound effect.
So let me directly drag and drop it in the timeline like this. Now I would like to increase the volume of this sound effect. So let me select this sound effect and now let me go to the 'Window' menu and now select 'Effect Controls'.
And let me increase the volume by 15 decibels. And so now if I play the video for you. So this is how you can make a typewriter effect in Premiere Pro.
