In this PES Solar | In Conversation interview filmed at KEY Energy 2026 in Rimini, Christian Leonte, CEO of Waldevar Energy, discusses the company’s expansion into the Italian market and its growing portfolio of large-scale solar projects.
Waldevar is currently delivering projects across Europe, with more than 800 MW of PV plants under construction, alongside developments in floating solar, energy storage and wind.
During the conversation, Leonte explains how Waldevar’s fully integrated delivery model allows the company to manage projects across the entire lifecycle, from engineering and procurement to construction, grid connection and long-term operations and maintenance.
The interview also highlights the company’s focus on innovation, including robotics for operations and maintenance, AI-driven monitoring systems and predictive maintenance tools designed to improve the efficiency and performance of solar assets.
