You need:
1. AMD GPU
2. Empty Nvme drive
3. USB stick.
WARNING:
Be ultra careful if you have more than 1 nvme drive.
SteamOS is always installed on nvme0n1 but that name can randomly be assigned to a different nvme drive on each boot.
Use KDE Partition Manager before installation (included with the installer) to confirm if the correct drive is called nvme0n1.
You can try rebooting few times to reshuffle names or physically remove other drives from your PC.
-----------------------------------------------------
Guide:
1. Download "steamdeck-repair-main-20251027.1000-3.8.0.img.zip"
from: https://steamdeck-images.steamos.clou...
2. Unpack and prepare a bootable USB with Belena Etcher, Rufus or similar.
3. Boot from the USB and pick "Wipe Device and Install SteamOS".
One of your nvme drives will be used without giving you choice but you can check with KDE partition manager what drive is called nvme0n1 that will be used for SteamOS. That name is assigned on each boot and can change randomly due to asynchronous activation of nvme drives. Whatever nvme drive will wake up first, it will be called nvme0n1.
