While Aeneas searches for allies, Turnus attacks the Trojan fortifications. The besieged men's attempts to warn Aeneas of what is happening are futile. The Rutulians, led by an unstoppable Turnus, manage to penetrate the Trojan compound and begin a bloody battle.
