Jamaica Tallawahs are the defending champions in this edition of the league as they emerged victorious in the previous edition of the tournament by beating Barbados Royals by 8 wickets in the final.
However, Saint Lucia Kings had met Jamaica Tallawahs in the eliminator in the last edition of the league where Jamaica Tallawahs maintained their upper hand with the 33-run victory. Heading into the new edition, both teams would look forward to getting off to a good start to remain positive throughout the tournament.
