How to become a programmer. My path from schoolboy to web developer.

People sometimes ask me how I became a programmer. What did I study, how did I get into development, what programming languages do I know, and what does a programmer need to know? Many people want to start in IT, but they don't know where to start when starting from scratch.
To be honest, there's no one-size-fits-all path; everyone has their own. That's why I decided to share my journey to becoming a developer, from where I started in school to where I've ended up now.
I'll try to tell you how I started making websites with simple builders and visual editors, continuing with engines and frameworks like CodeIgniter and Django. I'll tell you how I started programming in Delphi, how I defended my first projects, and how I earned my first money. I'll show you my school projects and explain why pet projects are essential for a developer.
