Victory Waltz is a new dedication song for May 9th. A memory that lives within each of us. This video is a visual embodiment of a song about war, victory, and remembrance.
The footage and music were entirely generated by a neural network under my strict editing.
A synthesis of poetry, music, and images from 1941–1945—a reminder to those who are alive, and a tribute to those who did not return.
📖 Lyrics:
The sky is split into "before" and "after,"
The horizon burns, but not with a menacing glow.
In my pocket—a funeral notice, folded in three,
And a photo where you still breathe with me.
We weren't waiting for letters, we were waiting for steps,
We weren't counting the nights—the shards of pupils,
In which a silent plea froze...
Victory! But the black ice hole sleeps.
And I would come to you—in '41, near Brest,
Where you found your eternity at twenty...
Where you didn't finish singing, where your heart was reborn,
And I didn't have time to touch... the envelope.
Along these cobblestones, where May, not smoke,
Veterans walk, and you—motionless...
These are tears and gunpowder, this is heartbroken joy,
The Victory Waltz floats over a wounded world.
Someone waves a flag, tearing their palms,
Someone falls prostrate before the obelisk in a bow.
This is memory that flows like eternal love—
You are alive, but you hold the emptiness of those faces,
Which remained in the earth, but were resurrected in hearts...
You are alive! You are their continuation. Know that! Look, the trains are returning from the front,
Look, the oak grove's leaves are unfurling,
But on the lists of the immortals—a pencil on a lead,
Forever the boys on a fine-grained slate.
In Berlin, on the walls: "We survived, Mom!"
And at home—the gates creak, like a drama.
The spring of '45, the scent of lilac
Mixed with bandages and sweat in the trenches.
And now there's hysteria again on the airwaves,
Again, someone's swastika is crawling out of the darkness.
They're trying to wipe from the face of the earth
The banner our grandfathers carried.
But we are not among those who have forgotten the taste of ashes,
We are the grandchildren of Victory, we are the children of war,
Who carry '41 and Stalingrad in their genes,
And you can't force us into a false trench poster. You can't beg for peace from those who blaspheme out loud—
Victory is won when behind you is not fluff, but the spirit
of those very same girls and eternally living boys.
We hear their steps through the lilac ringing.
Danger is not in the past—it stands on the threshold,
But Truth in the Immortal Regiment is like a stone shield.
These are tears and gunpowder, this is heart-rending joy!
The Victory Waltz floats over a wounded world.
This is a march of silence between fireworks,
This is the memory of those who seem to have been taken from us.
This is grief that the fallen are eternally beautiful,
This is happiness that we were not born in vain!
Every breath of jubilation is like an eternity of loss...
Shout, the whole planet! Victory is now!
The banner—to the Reichstag! Granite in the palm,
A lump in the throat—the Immortal Regiment of slabs...
Joy—a river, and loss—a bridge,
Where our every step is a password to the fallen.
This waltz has not been played... it is eternal and simple—
A red-haired boy at the Eternal... in fiery stature.
And above us—not only the brass of the salute,
Above us—the alarm: "Don't dare erase!" Don't betray spring, don't sell out love,
Those who are still alive, remember again and again…”
