Samsung Galaxy S5 vs Nexus 5 comparison
In this post we pitch the Google/LG Nexus 5 against the Samsung Galaxy S5.
Both are top-tier Android phones, running Android 4.4 KitKat on fast hardware platforms.
The nexus 5 is much more affordable than the Galaxy S5, and as a result, lacks some of its features and sensors. The S5's camera is more capable and the Galaxy lasts longer than the Nexus 5 on a charge.
On the other hand, the Nexus 5 is incredibly snappy, mostly because it runs the Vanilla KitKat version, with very few things bundles, while Samsung skins their Android implementation with TouchWiz and preinstalls a fair amount of third party apps and features.
So in the end, it's up to you. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is an overall excellent smartphone, with tons of features. The Nexus 5 however is fast, sleek and cheap, and that might be enough to steer plenty of you towards its side of the field.
