In all of my television career I never used a teleprompter ( I ad-libbed everything) but today on occasion I use one and it makes all the difference.
For starters your production time is cut way back, as all you have to do is read. With a teleprompter you'll never forget important points you want to make and your video will be shorter and more on point because you won't wander. Cost for a teleprompter used to be a problem but no longer with a simple app.
