"I love the quirkiness of the concept – an obscure Australian jingle from the 80s revisited nearly forty years later and brought to a worldwide audience! So when you told me about the sofa shop project, Brady, all I could imagine was a prog rock concept album based on the story. After all, everything from pizzas to washing machines have inspired grandiose concept pieces, so it’s about time that sofas were given the prog rock treatment. I’ve not gone full-blown concept album just yet but I wanted to capture some of the pomposity of the best of prog in this “re-imagining” of the jingle. In future, I may well borrow a page or two from Douglas Adams’ inspired Hitchhiker’s novels and expand out the piece to a triple album based on time-travelling sofas…"
