NEB @ CERN is a high-level co-creation lab focusing on digitally-enabled approaches to sustainability, inclusion and aesthetics. It was hosted by CERN IdeaSquare, which focuses on methodologies for experimental innovation and learning through doing. CERN has also recently launched the CERN Green Village where they offer residencies to EU projects engaged with the Green Deal.

The event was curated by Michela Magas, a Member of the NEB High Level Round Table in partnership with the digiNEB project, which aims to join the NEB community with enabling technology projects. It included inspirational talks and “think and do tanks” on topics that included the new NEB Academy for a sustainable built environment, multidisciplinary Smart Communities, and digitally enabled beyond-human ecosystems.

Franklin van der Hoeven is the Project Coordinator of the digiNEB Project, Director of research at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment and Open Science Programme Manager at TU Delft.
