SHOCKED!! I Met a Grandfather, a 45-year-old Fighter, Bathing in the Forest, Living Alone in a Ramshackle Hut.
Peace be upon you, friends of CepDen Story.
On this trip, I was in the Sukaraja area of Tasikmalaya Regency. I learned about an extraordinary grandfather named Abah Sanot (Grandpa Sanot) who lives alone in the forest.
Surprisingly, Abah Sanot was born in 1935, making him around 91 years old and a living witness to the Indonesian struggle for independence. He even vividly remembers the Dutch and Japanese colonial eras.
Our initial meeting was quite unusual. I found him bathing in a fountain in the middle of the forest, which was quite difficult to access. When I tried to visit him and convey the gift of sustenance from a donor, Abah felt a little apprehensive because this was the first time a stranger had visited him in his hut.
