Commitment
Commitment is very present in the Armed Forces. It arises from the first duty of the military: the permanent readiness to defend Spain, even at the risk of losing one's life when necessary. Without this commitment, it would be impossible to achieve success in the missions our military must carry out. A commitment that is fueled by determination and the firm belief that we are always doing the right thing in the most complex situations.
Discipline
The military's code of conduct is defined by a set of very specific values, values that are part of their ethical code and that all members of the Armed Forces must observe in order to integrate smoothly into military life. Among all these values, discipline, more than a value, is a factor of cohesion that binds everyone equally. It finds its collective expression in adherence to the Constitution and its individual manifestation in the fulfillment of orders received, within defined limits of obedience.
Solidarity
There are values that are intrinsic to some professions. In the case of the military profession, solidarity is undoubtedly one of them. You must act in accordance with the principles of objectivity, integrity, neutrality, responsibility, impartiality, confidentiality, dedication to service, transparency, exemplary conduct, austerity, accessibility, efficiency, honesty, and the promotion of the cultural and environmental environment. All of this constitutes solidarity.
Comradeship
Teamwork is essential to successfully completing the most ambitious projects. And there is one thing that maintains the cohesion of a team: camaraderie, the ability to selflessly support those at your side when needed. In the Armed Forces, camaraderie is the expression of the willingness to shoulder the fulfillment of the mission in solidarity with others, thus contributing to their unity.
Equality
Currently, more than 16,000 women are serving in our Armed Forces. Since September 1988, the traditional all-male structure of our Armed Forces has evolved to achieve the full incorporation of women into their ranks. This incorporation has been realized through a series of family-life balance measures and regulations that have given special importance to motherhood and everything related to it.
