Unitree Go2 Air robot dog: how do passersby react?
You've probably seen videos of the yellow and black robot Spot, a device made by Boston Dynamics. It's available for pre-order for tens of thousands of dollars, and Spot is used in a variety of applications, from entertainment to police missions.
The gadget we got our hands on was made by the Chinese company Unitree Robotics. The official name of this "dog" is the Unitree Go2 Air bionic robot. It's half the weight of Spot and costs around $2,400, not $60,000-$70,000.
The Unitree Go2 Air's joints are moved by 12 motors. The bionic robot dog is controlled either by a special controller or a smartphone. The device houses an 8,000 mAh battery.
