In part 1 we worked on the cassette carriage and some front panel damage, then found that the STK5441 power supply regulator hybrid circuit needed replacement. Here in part 2 we change the STK5441 and work on the Hall Effect sensor in the head drum motor. These sensors fail in nearly all Sony Beta video recorders, we have a technique for replacing it without the need to disturb the deck and risk damaging the heads.
