The municipality of Cullera is located on the banks of the Júcar River and next to the Mediterranean Sea ; It is located 30 km from the capital, Valencia . The Júcar River flows into this town , irrigating the entire municipality of Cullera, through an irrigation system designed in Muslim times. The Júcar also irrigates practically the entire Ribera Baja region. Apart from the Júcar river, there is also the l'Estany lagoon, located in the southern part of the municipal area with its mouth into the sea; This is a common fishing spot.
