🧬🧬*Come extract DNA molecules at home* 🧬🧬
Have you already seen a DNA molecule with your own eyes? (#English subtitles included)
Back home in Haiti, I used to learn about DNA in high school Biology courses. I used to wonder what this Molecule looks like in a test tube . If you have that same curiosity, these two videos are for you.
Now at work, I often do DNA extraction. I made these two (2) videos in #Haitian #Creole to share with you my knowledge on the subject. I hope you use materials and products that you can easily find at home to replicate this experiment alone, with your kids, or family members.
I translated my explanation and included it as subtitles in the videos.
1) In the first video, I introduced the subject by going over some basic concepts. I also talk about the principles of DNA extraction and the application of this technique.
2) In the second video, I will do an experiment where I will extract DNA from a banana. I will use materials and products from my kitchen to do so.
In this quarantine period, I invite you to replicate this experiment. Do not hesitate to share with me pictures and comments about your observations and how you felt.
