This time, we were in Medellín, Colombia, visiting the Fierros para Estampación factory. Juan Camilo accompanied us and guided us through all the steps involved in assembling a screen printing carousel. In the video, we showcase two carousels: a standard six-arm model and, finally, a new product from Fierros, the semi-automatic carousel. Join us on this visit!

Hello! Welcome, thank you for being here!

My name is Joy Susano, and I am the founder and instructor of Taller Ikarus. Our company is called Grupo Ikarus EIRL. We are a family business that designs, produces, and markets the brands Ikarus, Patria, No+Tv, and the Ikarus School/Workshop.

After finishing school in 1990, I studied graphic design and gained experience in prepress, print, and advertising agencies. In 1997, I discovered the textile industry through design and then learned the entire product development process for knit and woven fabrics. This helped me, with a lot of hard work, to manage design and development departments for major export companies in the country.

In 2007, my wife, Yessica Berru, and I decided to start a textile screen printing workshop. It was a very difficult decision at the time, as we were starting from scratch with almost no capital, with the sole objective of creating our own work and building a future for our family.

This is how Taller Ikarus was born, providing textile printing services to designers and companies. In 2011, we decided to offer screen printing courses, and that same year we launched our own polo shirt brand: Ikarus, high-quality polo shirts with distinctive designs.

In 2016, we created Patria, through which we revalue our national symbols as part of our historical identity.

Both brands are currently well-positioned in their target market. Currently, due to the ongoing situation, we are adapting and diversifying, striving daily to move forward.
