Senior Citizens Inc. (SCI) plans expansion to meet increased needs of the rapidly growing senior population in Savannah and the coastal Georgia region. A local non-profit whose mission is to help people age successfully, SCI has been providing services such as Meals On Wheels, Adult Daytime Care, Sterling Rides Transportation, Neighborhood Centers, Senior Companions, In-home nursing and personal care, and much more to older adults since 1959. Currently serving more than 10,000 people and their families in Chatham, Bryan, Effingham, and Liberty counties in Georgia, SCI expects to double that number by 2025 as a result of the planned expansion.
