We are the Omni Movement, an endeavor to make improvised partner dancing, more commonly known as social dancing, more accessible across the globe. An #OmniImprov is a thematic social dance where we improvise in a unique everyday location: marketplaces, night clubs, grocery stores, restaurants, and more. Omni believes ANYONE can dance with ANYONE ANYWHERE to ANYTHING.
I met Olesya at the beginning of summer at a salsa event and subsequently saw her the next night at a zouk event. I felt an amazing connection with her and really enjoyed exploring how to incorporate zouk into my salsa and salsa into my zouk. We found this public stage in Jack London Square and felt like everything was so vibrant around it. We couldn’t let it pass and used it for this improv.
