I arrived at an unfamiliar body of water on the first ice to see if there were any fish. I drilled a dozen holes and started searching for fish using a Calypso camera. After going through all the holes along the drop-offs and edges, the search yielded no results. Still hoping to find fish, I stumbled upon a flooded patch of snags. As expected, crucian carp, having formed a winter school, were standing in the snags.
