The South Kalimantan MUI has just issued a fatwa declaring Fansyuri Rahman's teachings heretical. His teachings are deemed to deviate from the Quran and Hadith, and are even said to teach that Allah is a servant, and the servant is Allah. The MUI has also closed several of Fansyuri's Islamic study groups. However, this should be an internal matter for Islamic organizations. The government should remain neutral. Let's be wise.
