*New* Arch Installer 2.4: Easiest Vanilla Arch Linux yet?
UPDATE 2022.08.06: Much of the guided installer discussed in this video is currently in a broken state, and will hopefully be fixed soon!
EDIT: This installer version is officially part of the Arch Linux ISO as of May 1 2022, just boot and launch with the "archinstall" command!
The Arch Linux Installer version 2.4 has just reached the Release Candidate milestone! It has been built into the Arch Linux ISO media for a while now, and therefore has the official blessing from the Arch team. This latest release features an exciting and super simple menu interface which you can navigate using just the keyboard!
We give it a thorough test drive by building a complete system from scratch including:
LTS kernel
ZRAM compressed Swap
Pipewire
BTRFS on root
XFCE 4.16
LightDM Display Manager
Timeshift with Autosnap
AUR with Paru
