How to change keyboard layout in i3 window manager
i3 is just a window manager, meaning, all that nice things that usually desktop environments provide, you have to install additional programs with i3 to get the functionality you want. One such program is setxkbmap, with which you can do all sort of things, and one is to set your keyboard layout.
