Phosphorus pentabromide: PBr5. Chemical reactions
In this video, I’ll show you a couple of interesting chemical reactions with PBr5 - phosphorus pentabromide. On contact with red phosphorous, liquid bromine sets it on fire, forming such reaction products as phosphorus tribromide - PBr3 and Phosphorus pentabromide - PBr5.
PBr5 is a yellow powder, that this video will be about.
