Look, the TNI Commander Releases a Sumatran Tiger
Indonesian National Armed Forces Commander General Gatot Nurmantyo released a Sumatran tiger named Mulli (a young girl). The release took place at the TWNC Release Post I. The location was chosen because it is within the home range of Mulli's mother.
Mulli is a 2-year-old female Sumatran tiger. In 2015, Mulli was found with her mother with severe abdominal injuries. The TWNC rescue center medical team then took little Mulli to a rehabilitation facility.
Doctors treating Mulli discovered thousands of maggots nesting in the wounds, which were beginning to rot. Mulli also fell into a coma and nearly died. After undergoing a two-year rehabilitation program, the young tiger was returned to the wild.
