Content-aware Techniques, Inc. produces technology for changing their product photos in the office environment without requiring consumers to also change images of their homes and cars. The company began developing software that could alter images on computer screens in 1998 but only started offering it commercially in 2010. They currently have three versions available: CCT - Photo Eraser removes backgrounds from printed photos in real-time, essentially erasing unwanted photos; and , CCT - Color Corrector restores color and illuminates subjects in digital photographs taken with a cell phone or webcam; CCT - Pixel Repairing is a professional tool designed to repair damaged photographs.
