If you're looking to limit distractions and better manage your screen time, Instagram’s Sleep Mode is a helpful tool. This feature lets you mute notifications during specific hours, helping you take breaks from the app, especially at night or during focused work time. In this video, you'll learn how to easily enable Sleep Mode on Instagram using the built-in time management settings.
To begin, open the Instagram app and make sure you're logged into your account. Tap the profile icon located at the bottom-right corner of the screen to access your profile. From there, tap the three-line menu (hamburger icon) in the top-right corner. This will bring you to the "Settings and activity" section.
Next, scroll through the options and select "Time management." This section allows you to view your daily time spent on Instagram and manage app usage settings. You’ll find two main options here: "Daily time limit" and "Sleep mode." Tap on "Sleep mode" to proceed.
Once inside the Sleep Mode settings, toggle the switch to turn it on. After enabling it, you'll be able to set a custom start and end time for when Sleep Mode should be active. You can also select specific days of the week when you want Sleep Mode to apply. For example, you might want it active every weekday from 10 PM to 7 AM to avoid late-night notifications.
After setting your preferences, simply save the settings. During the set times, Instagram will mute notifications to reduce interruptions, helping you disconnect or focus better.
